Christian modesty is an external appearance that is honoring to Christ.

“Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30

Your beauty should not come from the outside, but  from your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. 1 Peter 3:3-5

I also want women to dress in modesty, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God. 1 Timothy 2:9

These Bible verses are not saying woman shouldn’t seek beauty, braid her hair or wear jewerly. Rather, it instructs and teach that her beauty should not be based and focused on the outside.

She must not wear clothes to make herself atractive to other people, except her husband.

If you wear respectable clothes, it says how your heart looks from the inside.

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs without fear of the future. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:25-26

But if you are wearing provocative clothes that stumble a man to sin, that says something about your heart too.

A rademeed woman in Christ is modest, godly, simple, self-controlled, knowing she is precious to God.

Do you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore, honour God with your body. 1 Corintians 6:19-20

Woman of God avoid clothing designed to draw attention to her body and cause men to lust, for she is wise enough to know that is sin in the eyes of God.

She seeks to love and honor God and want others to do the same.
